Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the GymGrade mobile application and the gymgrade.app website (together, the "Service"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
GymGrade is an athletic-performance assessment tool. You submit a photo of your physique and the Service returns an AI-generated score (0-100), per-muscle scores, an estimated body-fat percentage, and other physique metrics. Output is intended for self-assessment and motivational purposes only and is not medical advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not directed to children under 13.
3. Subscriptions
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription ("GymGrade Premium"). The following subscription options are offered through the Apple App Store:

Local pricing in your country may differ as set by Apple's pricing tiers. The actual price displayed at the time of purchase is authoritative.
4. Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until canceled. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the selected plan, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top, then tap "Subscriptions."
- Select "GymGrade Premium" and tap "Cancel Subscription."
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to Premium features until that date.
6. Refunds
All purchases through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
7. Free First Scan
Each new install includes one free scan that returns your overall score. The full muscle breakdown, body-fat estimate, and additional metrics require an active GymGrade Premium subscription.
8. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with these Terms. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit photos that are not of yourself, or that depict minors, without express consent.
- Submit content that is illegal, obscene, or that infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or the paywall.
- Use the Service for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Scores are estimates produced by an AI model and may be inaccurate. The Service is not a substitute for professional fitness coaching, medical advice, body-composition measurement (DEXA, hydrostatic, etc.), or any clinical assessment. Do not make health, training, or nutrition decisions based solely on Service output.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GymGrade shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees during the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Apple-Specific Terms
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and GymGrade only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them. Any claims relating to the Service should be directed to GymGrade, not Apple. For questions regarding the App Store's terms of sale, contact Apple.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Subscription benefits will continue until the end of the current billing period unless terminated for cause.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the appropriate courts of the United States.
16. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
